Piroplasmosis is a parasitic disease transmitted by ticks (in France, two species of ticks : Dermacentor and Rhipicephalus).
It is responsible for often severe hemolytic anemia, complicated by kidney damage. We meet Piroplasmosis in dogs but also in horses, and to some extent in cattle.

Parvovirus is a viral disease frequent and particularly dangerous for puppies.
It is caused by a parvovirus and causes strong gastroenteritis cause the death of the animal.
It seems that some breeds are predisposed to the disease : This is particularly the case for the Rottweiler, the Doberman and the Staffordshire Terrier.

Distemper is caused by a virus of the Paramyxoviridae family.
It is one contagious disease that affects mainly the dog but may also concern other Canids, the procyonids (as the raccoon) and some mustelids (as the ferret, mink).

Leptospirosis is a serious canine disease that is transmissible to humans.
It is due to infection by spiral bacteria called leptospires. There are many types. Each type is called a "serovar".

The leishmaniasis is a disease related to the presence, within the body of an animal, small parasites: the Leishmania. These are transmitted to an animal by the Sting a very close Diptera insect of the mosquito.
The disease is common in the dog while the cat seems very unresponsive.
Human, just as the dog, may be contaminated.
