Until end 2011, the requirements for travel to certain countries of the European Union were much more drastic than for the other Member States.
This was particularly the case of tourist movements with domestic carnivores (dog, CAT, ferret) to the United Kingdom, the Ireland, Malta, the Sweden or the Finland.
