Are veterinary medicines sold on the internet real drugs ?
Be aware that a large number of medicines sold on the internet are counterfeit ! Their appearance can be very similar to that of the original drug and sometimes it is extremely difficult to tell the difference. Buying drugs on the internet can therefore present a real danger : you may jeopardize the health of your pet !

It is absolutely not possible to ask a veterinarian to sign a pre-order (prescription-type prepared in advance) or write a prescription in order to buy drugs on internet if it is not the attending veterinarian of the animal or livestock, or that it could not examine your pet in consultation. Indeed, every order made, the vet commits his professional responsibility.
The websites that sell veterinary drugs are very often located in foreign countries where the law is different from the French legislation. They ask the buyer to sign a pre-order with a veterinarian but this practice is prohibited in France.
By signing a pre-order, the veterinarian an accomplice of self-medication by a farmer or a particular and unauthorized distribution circuit.

A veterinarian who writes a prescription without clinical examination of the animal or outside the framework of health outcomes and a protocol of care to risk 2 years in prison 30000 euro fine.
The signing of a predetermined order is, as for her, likened to a deception that threatens the health of humans and animals and can therefore lead to 4 years in prison 75000 euro fine.
